CARBON MONOXIDE DETECTORS (NO LONGER AVAILABLE)

At Collum & Gregg Ltd we specialise in the supply & fit of Carbon Monoxide Detectors. We offer a range of quality Carbon Monoxide alarms from Kidde and FireAngel at reasonable prices.

What is Carbon Monoxide (CO)

ECarbon Monoxide (also known as CO) is a colourless, odourless poisonous gas and is a common yet preventable cause of death from poisoning worldwide. Carbon Monoxide is produced by the incomplete combustion of fossil fuels - gas, oil, engines, oil burners, gas fires and water heaters. As Carbon Monoxide has no smell, taste or colour it is important to have reliable Carbon Monoxide (CO) detectors installed, which will give both a visual and audible warning if there is a build up of CO to dangerous levels.

Please note:

Your family should have a Fire Emergency Plan that you rehearse regularly. You can get more details about this from your local Fire Brigade and also See Link; www.carbonmonoxide.ie

Below is some samples of the Types of Carbon Monoxide Detectors Collum & Gregg have recognised as the highest quality in their field.

SMOKE DETECTORS

At Collum & Gregg Ltd we also supply & fit of Smoke Detectors. We offer a range of quality Ionisation and Optical alarms at reasonable prices. Please note that Fire authorities recommend that both Optical and Ionisation alarms are fitted for the fastest possible response to different types of fire.

Ionisation Alarms

A comprehensive range of 9 Volt, battery operated smoke alarms using latest sensing technology - ionisation alarms are very effective for detecting fast-flaming fire.

Optical Alarms

Optical smoke alarms sense smoke using the light scatter principle. They have a quick response to visible smoldering smoke (e.g. from foam filled furniture & overheated PVC wiring) and they are suitable for general residential use.

Heat Alarms

Heat alarms are used in rooms where smoke or mist are frequently parts of the normal atmosphere, such as kitchens or garages, and consequently ionisation or optical smoke detectors would not be effective. Heat alarms ought to be interconnected with other smoke alarms on escape routes to give full protection.
